The car was still under warranty when the issue was pointed out. I've had a few consumption tests and refills then, along with a breather hose "fix" but to almost no avail.Quote:

That's what I'd thought when I bought the car, it was going at a rate that fluctuated depending on driving situations - had an entire few months just driving around the city for grocery runs/work etc. and it was going on a rate between 1L per 800-950km, the lowest I've got was 1L/650km.Quote:

S-mode is so aggressive, holding onto 3rd gear ad-infinitum, it is unusable for every day driving.
So you're not likely to find anyone who can answer that question.
Feel free to prove me wrong.
I know APR offer a DSG tune that softens S mode. Maybe someone with that could answer (better still, let us know if D mode, with the DSG tune, improves your oil consumption).

We have at least two examples here in Italy: after DSG tune (BobRacing), oil consumption improved using only D...
With bobracing you can choose which rpm you want to up and downshift for every gear...!
It would probably be a similar reduction but do you really want to drive around with the engine holding on to every gear as if a puppy would die if it changed up?Quote:
