Polo GTI headlight compatibility

Hi all

Probably silly question but i need to be sure before purcahsing, I did try a google search prior but alas, no luck.

I have a 2013 Polo 77tsi and have the change to cheaply aquire some 2012 Polo gti headlights (HID led) and wanted to know if there were basically plug and play or if there was more that needed to be done i.e, programming or wiring etc.

Given you have to make changes just for changing the license plate bulb to an LED I would be amazed if there werent changes that needed to be made. I have seen some posts on this previously but not about the Polo specifically - will see if i can find them again!
