    Polo GTI floor mats

    Hi all,

Just placed a deposit on a new Polo GTI. The dealer charged $295 for carpet floor mats. Thought it was a bit pricey but I agreed at the time. However I have now gone through the Polo brochure properly and it says that carpet floor mats are standard on the GTI.

Can anyone confirm this? Should I be asking for my money back?

What a Je*k they shouldn't of charged you for mats are there standard in the Pogo.

Take this matter up with the dealer principle...its quite a serious offence charging for a product that is complimentary/standard and they can be legally screwed.

The mats were one of the first things I checked when I took the test drive & delivery of the GTi I bought, in case the dealer had removed them for another car.
Mats are clearly listed in the VW brochure as standard for the GTi, may be you suggest your dealer take a look at the brochure as it appears they are not too familiar with it.

I reckon once the car comes they wont charge you and just simply say "Oh and your mats ended up being standard"

I'm wondering how the standard bluetooth and RCD510 get in for free... While the rest of us stuck doing retrofits at a cost of $600 plus?

Thanks for the help guys. Spoke to the dealer today. No problems getting the money for the floor mats back. not sure what would have happened if i hadn't picked up on it in the broucher. Anyway looking forward to getting my car this weekend if all goes well.
