Hello all,
I did a quick search on how to remove the standard I/C and install the APR item but couldn't find one, so I may write one up in the next few weeks.
Really want to go Stage 1 APR Tune first however, so hopefully the last update is correct with the timeframe of April.
Please hurry up for the 2013 model... I am all dynoed and readied.
As for this guide, please feel free to show me the error in my ways if someone has already done it before.
The manual states that the Radiator must be removed at the same time as they are one unit. Hope I can do it without.
Then I might post an exhaust change thread.

I have an intercooler on the way and still pondering whether I can be stuffed doing it myself or paying a workshop to do it. Will most likely be the latter as I'm a lazy sod when it come to this sort of modification
It's a fair job to do as well, but I don't believe the rad does come fully out. If you do it yourself, try get a hold of the specific carrier stoppers which allow you to pull the whole radiator / intercooler stack forward the required 100mm. I'll try track down the part numbers for you....

The tools are tool part 3411 guide pins. Basically Lon bolts with ball stoppers on the ends. This allows you to slide the lock carrier which retains the rad stack, forward.

Do you wanna earn some $$ Gav?
Yes... we could do both of ours. Lol

G'day Stephen
Just so you know. I believe that you can get an APR tune for your 2013 GTI now, but your ECU will need to be removed and sent to ARP in Queensland as they are the only ones at the moment with the equipment to do the job.
