    Polo footrest DIY

Just did this this arvo so figured i'd do a little DIY guide.
Its a very simple 10minute job and a total cost of $25 delivered.

    Tools:
    10mm socket
    Set of allen keys
    Drill
    5.5mm drill bit
    Wax pencil

Heres what you'll be starting with. Remove the plastic screw from the top of the foot rest.

Mark out where you want the footrest to sit. (I did this before removing the footrest to get the best position)

    Drill holes

Attach footrest plate to footrest. The kit should come with allen head bolts, nuts, washers and the bolt seats.

Put footrest back and do up the plastic screw above footrest and enjoy your new look.

Check out the matching plaid shorts

How neat does that look! I like.

As for the plaid shorts, might need to start a VW Watercooled 'Fashion' section, just for you

Thanks for the instructions. I've got the footrest in the garage at the moment but mine did not come with any bolts I will need to source some. The bolts you used look nice. Any ideas where I could get some of those from ?
