Who knows may be a sales pitch but with the price im getting it at even if i get 1-3 i merely did it for the personal enjoyment of having it centered.
It was either that or pay $1200 with paint on a Reiger rear bumper...which was...idk a rip to me
Ooops... after reading team_v's comments, it just occured to me how mean my comment might sound! I meant that the BS is about a TBE ripping the heads of manifold bolts.... not the HP increase claims of the exhaust! (though, they're a bit suspect anyway). Most of your increase comes from the downpipe and cat replacement, which is why you often see people leave the catback section and just replacing the "invisible" bits.
Catback is good for changing the exhaust note, and the looks. So if that's the reason you bought it, then I'm sure you'll be happy!
I once purchased a TBE for the looks as well (Quad pipe on my MKV GTI) when I could've just gone for the downpipe for the Stage II requirements
Yeah i love the beat she has now, i really did it for the aesthetics of the rear as it doesn't do much justice, hell even if they chromed the tip it would of been nice, but im glad these mods come out as it looks like a Baby R without having to be a rice special with stickers and crap hanging off.
Don't worry i didn't take offence personally i know two bits of F all about car mods, turbos etc however if it comes to replacing parts (globes, wipers, oil, filters, sumps, fuel lines and internal items inside the cabin) and driving a car/Go-kart or Tourer like its stolen thats a different story. xD
Well... all you need to do now is post some pics of your car
yeah until i wait for my tight ass postage wait period for the parts to arrive, by the time Thomas orders the part and gets it here will be looking at an Easter weekend *hoping*
Usually the dealers here fit an "aftermarket" kit sold as the genuine accessory though VW (sourced from Cobra by VW Germany). They can just drill a hole in the bumper and they clip in and look neat. That's why they don't integrate with the car electronics.
The genuine sensors require a whole new bumper skin which has the sensor mounts molded into the back skin. Then the factory sensors clip in from the back and everything sits flush on the bumper skin.
If you have the factory sensors they can also be programmed to allow for having a towbar (so the sensors dont go off every time you reverse because they are picking up the towball signal).
The towbar fitment itself is expensive because it requires a module and special harness as well to integrate all the extra load from the extra tail lights etc into the vehicle electronics. The factory harness would also turn off the rear fog light in the car automatically once you plug it in.
That price even sounds excessive for VW Australia.
PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches
