The dealer has booked the car in to look at it on the 20th so I'll load up an SD card as you suggested with music for them to test with. I hope they can hear the issue in both tweeters.

Bear in mind they may not know your music to know how should sound. In the rare chance they don't hear what you're referring to, go jump in another car to show the difference. All my interactions with the dealer when under warranty were positive, so I wouldn't stress about getting the fix (obviously a different dealer, etc).

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. The car is a week old and now it's doing this, which is a bit disheartening.

Hey, can I trouble you to tell me more about EQ settings on the RCD 510 - mine only has treble and bass... is there an Equalizer I can access? If so, how?

Glad your issue has been resolved!

I forgot that there is a Mid range adjustment too. I suppose that qualifies it as a 3 band EQ. It's rudimentary, but better than nothing. At that price, I didn't think it would be too much to expect a 5 or 7 band EQ...
