Hey mate,
Nice work on the mod!
I was wondering if you could give me some tips as it seems what you have done here can help with what I am wanting to do.

Essentially, I want to add a button switch next to the hazard lights switch, that will be able to open the garage door to my apartment complex. I have seen it done on here YouTube and here YouTube. I know it is a bit overkill (as I can just have the remote attached to the sun visor), however, i thought it will be a fun little project and look way better.

Step one is finding somewhere to buy a switch. You mentioned that you bought a hazard switch from Queensland? Would you be able to provide a link to that? A momentary switch seems like the appropriate choice for what I want. How did you go about removing the blank cover plate to install your switch? Was it easy enough?

Step two will be to research how to wire up the switch to the remote. I’m not sure whether I will try to hook the remote up to the car’s power, or just use the inbuilt battery cell in the remote. Below is a picture of my current remote.



Sorry to highjack our thread but I’m really hoping you could help with this and anyone else that has done this and/or knows how to do this, feel free to chime in. Your help is greatly appreciated!
