Polo 6C (2014+) Stereo USB port

What Model is the stereo unit in the new Polo (2015 Model). I cannot find any technical details regarding this new unit.
I was especially interested in the USB port and if it is only a charging port or can actually be used for music input to the head unit.
I have read in some reviews that it is only a low ampage (500ma) changing port only.
Is this true, and if so why would they not have a connection to the unit to provide IPOD & MP3 player support.

I had a thread on this a few weeks ago - it's pretty much only for playing music. It works with my Samsung Galaxy S4, but doesn't provide enough power to charge it while using bluetooth or GPS, but it does let me play music off it fine. I ended up going with a Belkin cigarette lighter adapter and just using Bluetooth for music and calls.

My Daughter just ordered a new Trendline DSG, and was disappointed that her ipod might not be able to use the usb port for playing music.
She has an S4 as well as a Belkin FM transmitter and she was wondering the best solution.
