Yeah, I think the red and black would look pretty cool. I've also gone for white on black euro style plates and I'm starting to think it's too much black and that I should have gone black on white instead. Oh well, what's done is done. Can't change my order now because the prisoners have already started making my plates

My dealer told me I've been the only one who's ordered the sunroof and that everyone else was put off by year end wait. I didn't really care about the wait but I can tell you, I was pretty excited when the dealer told me I had managed to snare build week 21. I'm just praying that the build week won't change

I think the plates will look great. I have personal plates from my last car that I've changed to black on white.

You're in good shape, you have a build date and that is more than most have. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. Keep us posted

Yeah, I'm getting euro plates as well, not personalised or anything, just black lettering on white background...I think they are the standard ones which my dealer will organise to fit. Not cheap though...$495

    my Rego is NODDDY

Started as a joke with the MINI and has stuck. My wife encouraged me to keep them and rather than dip my hand in my pocket and spend more money I elected to keep them. NODDDY was the name of the car but over time people have associated it with me. LOL. All good fun

$695 for the white on black ones. It's amazing what I will and won't spend money on. I was too cheap to get the comfort pack but wanted euro plates. At least I get to keep the plates, not like I can keep the comfort pack when I eventually sell my Polo.

Joe, how are you planning to have the plates mounted? I don't really like the look of the frames but will have no choice because I don't want holes drilled into my plates.

blutopless, on my Tiguan sunroof, the remote will open all windows and tilt sunroof, not slide...is it similar on GTI?

Hey apples, not sure yet, probably like you, I don't want the frames at all. May just bite the bullet and get some screws but I will see what options my dealer can come up with.

Hello Guys, been very interested reading all the threads you've posted and thought I would like to get involved in all the fun and excitement leading up in getting my new set of wheels! I have recently ordered my Polo mid May and will have to wait for it until October but would love to hear oppinions of your thoughts of how everyone is going with bluetooth systems and sunroof etc! First time owner of the VW and ordered it because I loved my mums Golf comfortline so much! I currently own a Barina SRi, which has been a lot of fun and made it hard for me to part with the Manual Transmittion but a lot of manual owners I've found on here have also switched to DSG so I really hope it is worth it in the end! Would like to hear your thoughts!

Wow, that is going to be one seriously optioned up car! Personally I love the new panoramic sunroofs (don't have a polo yet but would like this option). Far superior looking externally to the old "cut-outs" you see driving around. The new polo sunroof actually adds to the look of the car which is typically rare for a sunroof IMO.

Oh and does anyone have any interior pics of the sunroof in the flesh? I know a couple of you have one. Would like to see how it integrates into the ceiling from the inside. Particularly the way the sunroof appears to be a glass "insert" from the outside.
