Thumbs up Paintwork Issue - Great Outcome

Ok, so anyone who has read my threads to date on my car will know I've had a few issues, but so far the dealership (Burwin VW) has been absolutely stellar throughout.

Current issue: I noticed a scratch which penetrates the clearcoat near the mudguard, which extends behind the mudguard to the edge of the body panel - which clearly indicates that it was there before the mudguards were fitted. Bugger.

Initial dealer response: The sales guy Chris I spoke was hesitant and said that due to the age of the car (nearly 3 weeks now), he was unable to help me as management would frown upon him trying to get something fixed so far after delivery in spite of the fact it did look like the car came that way. I understood his position completely.

Resolution: I insisted on speaking directly with someone from management to discuss the issue, I do not recall the fellows name however after a brief chat he looked at the car, identified that it was clearly a pre-delivery issue and it should be rectified asap. The car is now booked in for this coming Monday for it to be repaired/fixed. They are issuing me with a loan vehicle for the 3 days it will take to remedy the problem. YAY!

In spite of the initial response, the outcome is fantastic. Once again, highly recommend this dealership. You might be asking 'So what, you're getting your problem fixed, why are you posting on the forum?' - It's to highlight the GOOD not just the complaints/issues.

Dropped the car off today. 2-3 days tops to have it rectified. Brilliant.

Well the car is back from repair and it looks perfect. Fantastic! They also lent me a vehicle while all this went on so I was not left on foot.

Highly reccommended! I've lodged a positive feedback case with VW Australia about Burwin. They really do care!

Great to hear such a positive outcome for your car mate, Burwin may soon be busy as we all know its hard in this country to find a decent/helpful dealer.
