    Out of warranty 6r GTI?

    Hey guys
    i currently have a 1.5 yr old 77tsi polo,

ive noticed a few 11 model polos running around for not much more than my car is worth..
what are peoples experiences with these cars ie dsg and oil consumption after the car has run out of warranty..
i dont want to get rid of my little slow in warranty car, and end up spending $$$$$ extra on repairs etc.

Read up on extended warranties, from what I've heard some are worth less than the paper they're printed on when it comes to actually covering anything.

Always negotiate, the dealers surely have a very large markup, ring around it does not matter what dealer you buy the warranty from it's all about price and once you buy it it attaches to your VIN

It is well documented on here just how troublesome the GTIs can be. Yes, there is a high probability of the engine using excessive amounts of oil and yes there is a high chance of DSG issues. Considering it is being offered for sale, you do have to wonder if these issues have plagued the owner in the past...

Does not matter, the only issue is the car still must have the original new car warranty, a day over and you cannot extend the warranty

This is true. Found out its due for a timing belt and tyres, which ruins the point of the cheaper advertised price. Back to the drawing board
