    Opinions Needed Please!!!

    Hi Guys new here,

About to purchase a Polo 77TSI Comfortline 5 Door in white. Dealer has quoted me 25k driveaway with sportspack, matts and full tank. From what iv'e researched im probably paying too much hey? Now im debating whether the comfortpack and\or audio pack are worth it if I want to add those on...

From the comfortpack im only really interested in the climate control feature. Im not used to new cars, so will doing without this be major? I test drove a polo with it on and I liked it but do I really need this?

Also what do you exactly get in an audiopack? I have pretty bad Tinnitus so I dont need quality sound ( wont be turning it up loud either!). I would like to connect my ipod and my Iphone4 (planning to use sat nav on the iphone4 with tom tom holder kit. Does the audio pack come with sat nav? Does the stock model have an aux input and 12v? so I can just plug my phone into that and stick it on a cradle?

Thanks in advance, sorry so many questions cheers!

When can the dealer give you the car? Other people here will only get their polos next year!

Sports pack is a cheap way to get 17" wheels and sport suspension. Comfort pack is a must.
I paid $26k for mine drive away, so that is a good price.
    POLO 77TSI DSG 5D - MY11 - REFLEX SILVER - COMFORT PACK
    Engine - K&N Air Filter (e-2997)
    AV - Rockford Fosgate T1652-S , T1652 and P3L-S12 Sub. Alpine MRP-F600 and Alpine MRP-M500, Dynamat
Planned - lots, but the "financial manager" says NO

Yep, I'm one of those who gets delivery next year because I wanted a sun roof.
Are we talking manual or DSG here? I'm in Vic and got a TSI manual comfortline flash red with sports pack, panoramic sun roof, mats, tinted front windows for $25 driveaway. But delivery in new year!!!!

The audio pack doesn't have sat nav in it. It does have a touch screen display, MP3 compatible SD card slot and 6 disc changer in dash. It also has a Media Device Interface fitted in the glove box. The stock standard TSI comfortline comes with MP3 connectivity plug.

As for the comfortpack, it's never about 'need', it's about want. How much do you REALLY WANT it

he said he'd tint front windows free also sorry. wow thats a good deal considering red paint = $500 and sunroof is like nearly $1700?. I should get what he quoted under $24k then? Yes its a manual not a DSG.

Hmm the MDI feature is nice but I always take my ipod out of the car as i use it everyday, so dont want to have to open up glovebox and connect it everytime i get in(does it charge the ipod also though?) and I dont mind using the actual ipod to navigate. Does it display albums and songs on screen ?
Im more tempted to get the comfort pack. But really they are all tempting! Surely they do this on purpose lol. Comfort pack should be stock factory feature!

all i know is that i want the sports pack 200%

Flash red isn't metallic paint so it's not an extra cost.
I should have made myself more clear - the stock standard MP3 plug is located in front of the cup holders which is in front of the gear stick.
The brochure states the MDI as "interface facilitates connection to USB audio devices, data storage devices and Apple iPod. The MDI allows audio files to be operated via the in-dash audio system without the need to input controls via the media device itself. The MDI system also provides a charging function." The MDI is fitted in the glove box and comes with a connection cable. I don't know if it displays albums on the screen.

August delivery sounds about right. Dealer told me I could get my car without the sun roof about August too. With sunroof was end of year delivery but it was my choice to get delivery in 2012. I decided to wait an extra 2 months to get a 2012 model. Hey I was already waiting 10 months for it, so what's an extra 2 months? Although I went out today and saw 3 Polos on the road - aaargghhhhh. I want mine now.

Shop around to see what another dealership can do dealwise. I went to one dealer who refused to budge on price and said no one would deal on a Polo. Went to another dealer and his first question to me was "How do I convince you to buy the car from me instead instead of the other dealership?" My answer was "A good price!"

MDI option allows album details to be viewed on screen. IMHO audio and sports packs are worth the $$ Comfort pack inclusions are (mostly) included with Comfortline model and Sports pack

Not 100% sure on what is standard in the comfortline but the comfort pack on the gti adds climate control, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming rear vision mirror and auto headlights...
