I know ADR,s state cars with xenons have to have washers. but my last car had them and the washers only worked if the lights where on and i used the windscreen washer spray. not sure if the VW,s are the same but i never used this. I find that cars with xenons even if there dirty ar less annoying then those HID kits people fit.
I'm specifically doing it for looks and then for better lighting... Mainly for looks though as I think the actual headlamps look much better. I also wanted the DRLs more importantly
Don't install the washer system, because unless you install the levelling system as well, it'll still fall short of ADR requirements.
Either go all out, or just the install the headlamps as is.
That's what I'm thinking. I just don't know what I'm up against. Like will all the wiring work, do the switches internally work the same, what coding and mounting takes place? There is an adapter that comes with it what's this for?
Is it just a simple swap of headlights and that's it? I'm to novice to know what I'm up against and don't want to spend close to $1000 without the security of it actually working correctly.
Ps: the guy keeps emailing me asking me if I need assistance and saying he can do better deal...etc

Or you can build your own halogen lense in the stock units like this guy. Modded his H4 units:

I'm not trying to rain on your parade in regards to the Xenons I'm just trying to be a realist about it. My recommendation would be to fit the lights and then just run halogen globes, but it's still not that simple. The wiring is different, the control modules are different, you still need to install the sensors to run the self leveling system otherwise there will be errors and fault codes coming at you from all angles.Quote:
