    OBD2 wifi dongle

    Hi guys

Stupid question but someone has to ask it
I bought a wifi OBD2 dongle and Dash Command for for iOS devices.. All works..

But, my silly question is - is it detrimental to the car if I have the dongle plugged into the port all the time?!

    Thanks in advance

I believe the OBD port has constant power, so battery drain my be something to consider.

Cool. Thanks for that. Might have try and see if the dongle switches off as it has a power indicator on it

If the car is in constant use I don't think you'll see any problems. If you are leaving it for a couple of weeks, I'd unplug it. Wouldn't drain more than a phone charger in the lighter socket.
