    Non-LED daytime running lights?

Hi, so I was reading through some other forums about the Polo and discovered that in Europe (where it is a legality to have Daytime Running Lights 'DRLs') the Polo uses its parkers on the front only as them (VWVortex.com - Polo 6R DRL help - halogen type). I found also that the feature is not software related, but hardwired so I pulled out the light switch in the car and looked at the pins but the pin for the DRLs (labeled 'TFL') was actually there, and a wire was connected and running back into the dash.
So basically I was wondering if and how the DRLs could be turned on.
    Thanks for any help!

They should be from factory, if not there is a chance you car has had the interior lights set to a different region.

Exterior, do you mean? If so that would make sense, but I was just wondering. So nothing the dealer can do, or is it not possible?

Edit: Sorry, just re-read your post. So the car should already have the DRLs on from the factory? I've never noticed another Polo in Victoria with them on, but I haven't really paid much attention.

The lights might be external but the control switch is part of the central electrics on the interior so the coding is for the interior. I could go into greater detail but without it sounding overly complex, there are different country/region settings and these setting have their defaults. Your car might be set to a different region.

Yes, they should be set to on from the factory.
