There is no temp gauge, only on GTI. There IS a sensor however, so if you install a GTI tacho or an OBD monitor you can still read the temp that way.
I also thought the sport suspension was quite stiff, until I got my coils and had to redefine
Hey guys! Hope all is well and everyone enjoys their cars as much as I love my Candy! I have had her for 8 months now ( been quite a while since my last post) but there is one thing I just can't stand... The shocks/suspension is soo hard it almost feels like over time it will do damage to the car! The other guestion... Is there no temperature guage to see how hot the car is running? I haven't found one yet lol! Love to hear your comments!

Thanks for the Reply PoloDave I think if I don't do something on them soon, I'm going to have to replace the bushes already! I can already hear a knock when I reverse

How many KM's are on the car? mine is at 25.000 right now and there are no suspension related sounds. But I don't know what the roads are like over there. It's pretty much all smooth over here, except for the speedbump frenzy. They are literally everywere. 1 next to my house, 1 before you enter the main road, and 2 more after each other on the mail road itself.. even seen a speedbump on the highway! Lifted the front wheels off the road
Yes! there are a fair few speed humps here as well! But you can feel every joint/crack in the road! My car is currently on 11,000 kms so its quite a bit early to be feeling a knock

You could go down to 16" rims.

I could but part of the reason i bought the sports pack is because of the wheels... My previous car had sports suspension with 17" wheels and what I thought was hard when driving that car is smooth compared to the Polo I think I might just have to look at buying new suspension. Hopefully it won't void the warranty! Best check with the dealer first?

From what iv read im 90% sure that the shocks are the same its just the springs they change to make it a bit stiffer and 15mm lower, but correct me if im wrong.
if this is the case you could just get some new springs. not sure what else they change. guys are changing the sway bars on GT'sI so the stock ones cant be to stiff. Kaanage is right about the wheels for smoothness but i doubt 17" would cause to much trouble. not like there 19-20"
Tried the Poverty Pack 6R Polo....and the suspension was acceptable. We then drove TDI Sports Pack job at an open day (viz...track work). Loved the sports pack. So we opted for the TSI with Sports Pack. Now running Denvers and @ 42k kms...the car is a little beauty. No suspension (as in too hard/harsh) problems at all.
Had the Turbo and DSG campaigns completed yesterday....BIG difference. Car is so much more driveable and responsive now.
Will be taking EOI's on this car towards the end of this year (at the latest), but would be happy to on-sell it now if anyone is interested. PM me for details. (reason for selling is to go for more VW....bigger)

Maybe get the stock springs from someone who has fitted lowering springs, a cup kit or coilovers to their ComfortLine
Don't you believe it. I fitted a B12 kit to my older Polo and the ride became too firm for my liking with the OE 15" rims so I sourced some 14" rims to use for daily driving and the 15's get put on for track days (or cruises if I can be bothered)
