its a shame that they wont make one, in order to protect audi s1.

just like golf .:R gets detuned, in order to protect audi s3.

anyone else notice a pattern? kinda weak....

but im not so saddened to hear this as i am the fact that the new pog gti wont be coming in manual. sometimes its not purely about quickest gearshifts. sensory perceptions play a big role in driver satisfaction, too.

Apparently it will be running the same engine as the Golf R and AWD.
Sounds like a potent mix in a small sedan.

I really like the Jettas' styling. Looks pretty sporty as it is. Shouldn't need much to make it look like more of a sports car. I'd love to drive the Jetta-R purely out of curiosity.

Volkswagen Group has apparently revised its plans for the Polo R and Audi S1 models and will now build those two models with all-wheel drive systems.

I read that a few days ago at the paris pre-show.
A polo R would kick arse with a few mods.
Would probably clock a MX5 around the track.

It would take the excitement out of the Polo GTI. I would get the R over the GTI for sure.

How much would a Polo R be priced at roughly? 40K?

We don't have an idea of the GTI pricing, and that comes out in November! Let alone pricing of a car which might never come out
