Seems to me this forum is becoming a whingefest, nothing more than a vehicle for people to whinge and whine and complain about how hard done by they are.

You don't care about anyone else's opinion on this topic? Well you put the topic up for discussion and guess what, I for one don't care about your opinion on this topic. Your sister negotiated a deal and it sounds like the dealer delivered as per the negotiated deal, if your sister failed to negotiate the inclusion of floormats, then it's her problem and really, is a set of floormats enough to "ruin her experience"? If it is, perhaps she should sign up here and have a whinge also.

Your narrow mindedness is breathtaking, wake up to yourself!

So everyone is working for a car dealership? LMAO thats cool.

The mats were offered at a cost of $350. Not a dollar less, not a dollar more.

I dont think that is reasonable, let alone them not being thrown in.

Hey VW Convert, who do you think you are talking to me like that.

Thats the ones I was quoted on, as we had them in a Subaru and found they were brilliant; pull them out wash them down put them back. The lock in bases also reduce slipping and getting annoying rocks under the mats.

    UK based, but:

VOLKSWAGEN VW Polo 2009 Onwards (Oval Locators) Fitted Car Mats - from Simply Car Mats

Looks okay - you can make choices about how they're made etc. Anyone with a 2010/11 car think they look right?

I should add, my sister and GF were told also by Vince that the RCD-510 we just bought, does not fit in the car either. He checked with some guy in service and apparently confirmed this. x2

Perhaps you should re-read your original post, you put the topic up for discussion but dismissed any contrary opinion even before that opinion was stated, the height of arrogance IMO. In case you forgot, this is what you posted.

I think is has become a rather pointless thread, I vote for the mods to delete. If members want to slag off and throw a wobbly, please do it on your own, don't drag us into the mud with you.

I was putting a general statement out because I know how this forum works. I didnt direct it towards anyone.

Which is exactly what you did, and directly towards me. I dont appreciate that at all. I expect you to change those sort of passive aggressive comments, cause we all know the kind of people that make them to begin with.

I remember this geeky uni help desk person used to be like that whenever anyone needed anything.. Funny people man.

The only thing I hate about the internet is that people speak in a different tone compared to how they would in real life. Just look at youtube. or VW forums.

    ANYYWAY:

The point I wanted to say is that below disregarding the convert,

Wrong information given about the RCD head unit, and then Vince wouldnt even give her a price or quote to install it. Basically not wanting anything to do with it. Then offered the absolutely terrible price on the matts.

Its not that great an experience. Thats that. Hope this helps anyone who's looking to buy one.

I dont think this has anything to do with being deleted as its a fair comment and expression/interpretation of a buying experience.

Half of that story was not in your original post, you just posted about not getting mats and that by itself looked like a whinge. Mate in these circumstances vote with your feet "Hey Vince you've shown your not interested in my business I'd rather go somewhere else!

I don't work for a dealer and I'm the first to warn people when they visit a VW dealership to expect crappy service and be surprised if you receive better. There are of course the exceptions but I live in Sydney so if I don't buy the car there are plenty that will which gives a few salesman a chip and it sounds like you may have encountered one.

Based on the original post and attitude I don't think you should be offended by what VW Convert said as he had a valid point.

I hope your sis loves her car and you find some mats at a fair price.as anything over $200 is steep.

Yeah maybe I should have got it all off my chest at once, just wasnt thinking to write more than that as I thought I'd have more support about getting no matts with the car to be honest.

And this is just how Sydney is isnt it? I will vote with my feet from now on, working and living on the LNS i speak to a ton of people everyday who are very well off, and buy these sorts of cars for there kids all the time, I am very passionate when I recommend someone and the same when slandering.

All in all I think I am like that because when I work with someone I give it my all, and try to do the best that I can. The whole "brush you aside now that i have your coin" thing is something that is not in my genetic make up. Thats why I get the ****s. Im not some prick who expects the best, but on a one way street.

I serviced my car with Subaru for 9 years (different models) even though I forked out $300-$400++ for an oil change each time. Why? Cause mate they were great people and worth every cent.

VW convert was out of line and too harsh, and I know its cause its on the internet everyone like to be a hard ass, but It does not sit with me.

I do appreciate the comment about her enjoying the car though, thanks. I hope she does too as I recommended the car, and VW, to her.
