Not sure why the new polo would be designed like the mk7 golf when the golf is designed like the 6r? Wasn't the polo the first with this new brand styling?

The Polo TDI and TSI I believe were the first to be a part of the new MQB platform +1

The 6R Polo is NOT part of the MQB platform. They said the golf mk7 and new audi a3 are the first of any VAG model to use it. I think the Polo 6R was the first to use the new styling model (an easy way to see is the change from round red taillights to L shaped taillights)

Yes the Polo is based on the PQ25 platform, but the 6R did set a lot of the styling cues that are now in the Jetta and Mk7 Golf. Mostly the air vent design, style of the hazard buttons and the rear lights.

The front looks all out of proportion to be honest... They need to increase the gap between the bottom of the front bumper and the lower grille. The lights are a little too 'cramped' as well...

Hmm not too bad, but its a concept photo. The more room would be a good thing, as ya the Polos a bit small and the golfs a bit big haha, so maybe this will be just right! Just wish the were more aftermarket stuff for the 6Rs, but maybe soon! Thanks for sharing the photo, and also looks similar to the 6R so at least those of us who have the 6R it won't look too old or outdated just yet! Good for resale down the road!
