Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce to you the specification and pricing for a new Polo special edition model range – The
Polo Urban and Polo Urban+.
• Significantly improved customer value with premium features
• Enhanced exterior styling with alloy wheel upgrades
• Special models to directly replace Trendline and Comfortline models until the conclusion of production for the
current generation Polo
• New optional Driver Assistance package inclusive of parking distance sensors
• Special models in Dealership and on sale from July, Dealer orders can be placed from late March
As we move closer toward the end of the current generation Polo’s lifecycle, we have taken this opportunity to
enhance and rationalise the existing Polo model range with the new Polo Urban special models.
Directly replacing both the Trendline and Comfortline grades with the Urban and Urban+ models respectively, each
Urban special model adds a list of premium features that will significantly enhance both the value and appearance
of the Polo.
The new Polo Urban maintains a clear focus on affordability and value by adding touches such 15” ‘Tosca’ alloy
wheels and premium leather touch points in the interior such as steering wheel and gear shift, as well as a Multi-
Function Display (MFD) and illuminated vanity mirrors.
The Urban+ is the premium Polo with significant additions to the exterior such as 16” ‘Portago’ alloy wheels, front
fog lights and dark tinted windows, whilst the interior is transformed with heated comfort sport front seats with
Alcantara trim, climate control air conditioning, front foot well lighting and chrome and silver decorative trim
highlights.
Such is the quality and comprehensive nature of equipment included; we estimate the Polo Urban features
approximately $1,500 of additional customer value over the outgoing Trendline model. The Urban+ is an
extremely compelling proposition with over $3,000 of additional customer value over the outgoing Comfortline
model.
The recommended retail pricing of the new range starts at $17,490 for the Urban manual (an increase of just
$300), whilst the Urban+ manual has a retail price of $19,490 ($800 above the Comfortline). The 7 speed DSG
transmission continues to be offered for both models at a retail price premium of $2,500.
With such a high level of new standard specification, the available option range has been consolidated to just a single package – a new driver assistance package consisting of Front Assist with City EB, Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC), Discover Media navigation system and parking distance sensors, front and rear.
The exterior colour range has also been enhanced and the special models distinguished by the inclusion of a third
(no additional cost) gloss paint finish – Flash Red from the Polo GTI.
Please click here for a detailed summary of specifications, pricing, colours and options.
Production of the Polo Urban special models will commence in calendar weeks 23 and 26 for the Urban and
Urban+ models respectively.
The special models will be offered via Dealer Fairshare from late March, at which time the models will be first
visible in the NADCON Configurator. A new Dealer price list inclusive of the Polo Urban special models will also
follow during this period, ahead of the delayed first scheduled vehicles to arrive July. Unfortunately and
unavoidably the release of the special model range has been delayed from the May timing that was communicated
during the recent Regional Dealer Business Meetings.
In time with the release of the new model range, the Polo’s website presence and printed brochure will be updated
to detail and support the new model range.
If you have any further questions regarding specifications of the Polo Urban special models, please do not hesitate
to contact our Product Managers. Alternatively, please speak with Sales Planning for vehicle ordering and
availability.

Thanks for posting that! Any info on specs? Engines? Weight and dimensions?
2018 Golf GTI, Manual - gone.
2017 Golf 110tsi Trendline, manual (gone - gladly)
2007 Golf GTI, Manual, (gone - sadly)
1978 Golf GLS; 1972 Superbug, (memories)
From reading it seems the engines will be identical and you could surmise that they won't even give it a facelift - its purely the options on the inside that are changing. Wonder when they will launch on their website. Shouldn't be long i dont think
The email says the dealers should already have the prices and customers should be able to order them.
