    New Speakers

I am wondering if anyone has replaced/looked at replacing the speakers in the Polo yet?

I am trying to find the correct sizes and how to install however I am struggling. I also would want to replace the tweeter and install a crossover.

I found this website: Polo 6R Speaker Upgrade

This indicates 6.5 inch front and rear speakers.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Tried that link, did not work.
    Anyway.
Dynaudio speakers best if can be fitted.
Crossover network only needed if installing high power amp, otherwise capacitor (polycarbonite, not bipolar electro) fine.
    Tweeter should have ferrofluid damping.
Be aware, sensitivity of speakers re sound levels important.
Speakers that handle high power, NEED high power to give big sound.
eg, fitting 200W capacity in place of 15W can result in less performance for the same low power amp.
    Big magnets always better.
Consider also, damping (sound absorbent) materials behind speaker.
(BTW, Have designed several spkr systems)

Thanks for your response. I didn't relise I could buy Dynaudio's separately?

I was going to go for these for the fronts: Alpine Type-X SPX-17REF

And these for the rears: Alpine Type-R SPR-17C

What do you think of them?
