We'll see how my dealership deals with my shopping trolley this Friday after having the same aesthetic problem for 2 years...constant fading / flaking on the window wiper blades and trench / well underneath it (black plastic tray that drains excess water off the vehicle has parts that have turned grey due to UV exposure)...yet they have yet to replace it via warranty replacement.

They have been tapped on the shoulder by VWAG to conduct the works if there are quality problems...in case they're watching...you know my car...if you don't fix this quality / aesthetic issue I'll dump a giant turd...and then you can reap the whirlwind after I've finished.

P.S I will also name / shame the technicians, service clerks and service manager responsible I've been given the green light by the case manager to do so if you send me around the mulberry bush once more!

Picked up my TSI Polo today with opted RCD510 and everything seems to be working well aside from 2 things. when I connect my iPhone by aux and select media is says there is nothing connected although I can see my iPhone playing. Also I have synced my phone with the Bluetooth but can only see my phone book on the adaptor not the RCD itself as it says there isn't any contacts.

If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated, otherwise the car is great, along with this forum I am loving it so far!

I strongly advise against walking in quoting TPI's mate because then rather than looking like you're informed, you will just come across arrogant. Give the dealership the opportunity to fix it first, if they say there is nothing wrong, that's when you might want to ask "is there a service bulletin for this issue? I have head of it before and being covered under warranty..." Which at that point, if they deny it or refuse the repair, this is when you quote the TPI.

I've had my Polo almost a week now and when I ordered it I asked for the RCD510 to be fitted, I have not been able to get the AUX port to work with my iPhone at all. I have tried selecting media but nothing is connected and there isn't an AUX section in my settings which according to the dealer there should be. Is it possible that the AUX connecter was not connected to the new unit and therefore wont be recognised? Currently waiting for the dealer to get back to me about but I just want to play my iPhone! =P

I tried bluetooth streaming but it sounded terrible! Under settings>media I only have 3 options non of which refer to AUX which is what the dealer said I should enable. That is why I think it may not be connected as the unit isn't recognising a connection to it.

I know I bought a cable for my iPod for the MDI port in the glove box... But that's annoying me at the moment as it does continue a playlist ... 95% of the time it starts playing from beginning on my entire iPod..I do have an old iPod though... Might be time for a new one soon

Edit: doesn't continue a playlist.... Darn auto correct

Loving my new Polo thus far. Only small issue of concern is with regard to my iPod MDI playback. Every second or third song will "skip" a little within the first five or so seconds of the song starting. Nothing too concerning really, but it's a bit annoying.

I'm trying out another newer iPod tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem. Anyone else come across this?
