I got the Polo back this afternoon and it is rattle free.

They ended up test driving the car with a tech in the boot. Noise coming from wheel arches. Put car on hoist removed wheels, cleaned and greased hubs, removed shockies, cleaned and greased top mounts, put it all back together and Bob's your uncle, stealth mode, whoooo-hoooo, no rattles, also fixed properly the fuel line rattle that Austral did a half assed job on.

I am an even happier driver again.

I hope this helps everyone who is getting the clicking morse code sound from around the "c" pillar.

    good luck

Mine has I think the same noise at yours did. It is only present on the drivers side c pillar near the back seat seatbelt reel thingy. I think it might be related to the shocks because it happens over bumps (obviously). The noise I get is a very quiet, but very annoying, 'tick'. It's certainly not related to the rear seat itself because it's still there with the seat folded down.

I'll see what the dealer can do when we get rear the door seal replaced (it was cracked since delivery).

Can anyone hear outside wind noise when doing around 100km/h with the windows shut and radio off, it's only the faintest of noise but annoying!
Would this be something I could ask for as warranty work or would they laugh in my face?

I think you're being a bit like my best friend who complained that his iPhone 5's Glass and aluminium segments on the back were a few nanometers out of whack and could be felt with his finger

Look, most of the time I don't hear any wind noise because I have the constant diesel rattle, but on 100/110 km/h stretches of road it definitely exists. I don't think it's feasible to make a car with absolutely zero wind noise.

Probably roll on the floor in hysterics.

Dont put weather shields on it then as they make it noisy.

The left hand button on the radio will fix it or the top button on the steering wheel

The thickness of my iPhone 5 is great, but the battery life is shocking
I think it is feasible for a car to have no wind noise, my Toyota Landcruiser has none, neither does my girlfriends Mitsubishi. I don't think its too much to ask for piece and quiet while driving a new car. But it may be a better tactic to investigate myself before crying like a spoilt child to the dealerships.

I've heard the right pedal can drown it out a bit too
