Thanks Hillbilly! love the German engineering and dedication to safety.

I was getting use to having the air conditioner on recycle from working in remote WA, where it's a requirement to try and keep the cabin pressurised and as much dust out as possible.

Car is finally in today to have this looked at, I will let you know how this is resolved.

It can only pressure up so much anyway because most cars have hidden flaps in the rear somewhere to let air out.

In my Cruiser they used to pop when I shut the doors. Due of course to the excellent sealing in Toyota products LOL

Further to mine Its rattling worse since Thursday when an idiot pulled out of a side road right across in front of me when I was doing 100kph.

Managed to just miss him but now rattle in the back is quite markedly worse. Unsure if its something inside the car or suspension or rear subframe.

Will have a look when weather cools enough to go outside. LOL

Pull out all the spare wheel and associated tools and foam holders etc, then go for a drive. If it is still there, unfold the rear seats so they are flat, if still there, rove the actual seats and seat backs. If still there, check the door strikers are tightened (both passenger ones were loose in mine) then if still there, let the dealer find it

Have tried most of that and its in behind the left panelling Seat folded down when was stopping Checked door and seat strikers and taped them with electrical tape. It rattled from new regardless of seat position.

Took it to dealer who removed shockie as it was worse a while ago with about 80kg in the boot

They wanted $146 an hour to look any further So much for them Have bough some removal tools and will wait for cooler weather as the concrete in the garage is a bit hot to lie on at the moment LOL

They are the pegs that the door locks engage when you shut the door and are adjustable. If incorrect door can move and rattle and if bolts loosen the same will happen Look when door opens they are a U shaped heavy wire attached with two recessed bolts or torx screws.

Mine intermittently makes a noise from behind the trim by the seatbelt feed at ear height. Hope you get a fix, so I can move on mine
