^ It may be just that the gearbox is taking a while to wear in if your car is fairly new. The Subaru 6 speed didn't like to be rushed when it was new. Had to hold the shifter in the gate for a bit to give the syncros time to mesh then it would slip in. If it was done too quickly it would grind, did this from cold and after it warmed up 'til it hit around 10000ks. Mainly did it with reverse but occasionally first & second.
I'd still get it checked even if it's just to log a possible fault and give you peace of mind-or not.

Received a Recall notice with regards to Wastegate actuator, Turbo, Turbo Spacer and software bug recall.

Been told cars built between 2010 to December 2011 are the effected party (don't know whether its a TSI/TDI issue only).

Contact your service advisor to double check guys!

That would be the fault that got the missus stranded in her TSI last year!

It's nearly done 30k and noticed the front brakes are screwed. Plenty of vibration under firm braking from speed, can feel it as a passenger as well. She gets a bit excited but is far from a hoon, to do that to factory brakes in a little polo is a joke.

Engine death rattle came back as well, the build quality of these things are rubbish. Never had so many issues with a new car! She's made it clear that there will definitely NOT be another VW for her.

Hail - is this just the TSI and TDI? What about the GTI?

Sorry to raise this but Hail already stated he didn't know if it was a TSI/TDI issue only.

Ordered parts.
I was told the fine black spots appeared at the back of boot and bumpers are caused by container spraying from customs when it arrives and it can show up after a period of time. They will clean it up.Interesting!
While driving yesterday ,i heard additional high pitch noise.

Guys,I wonder if the loud engine sound via the sound amplifier be removed as it can be pretty loud?
    thanks.tay

    HI,
Its different noise.Like diesel rattles when accelerate....Thats fixed.
Now i have issues from the high pressure fuel pump making lite rattle sounds and additional high pitch sound when accelerate at higher revs.2 sounds for the price of one.
Just want to know if the sound amplifier can be isolated as i personally find the loud engine sound is bit loud .thanks tay
    HI guys,
latest update as the fuel pumps replaced but its still noisy rattles as i accelerate and looks like it requires another new pump and re-examine whatever else might contribute as its back to workshop on the 18th april. Its pretty annoying rattles.ahhhh!Got the sound amplifier mute and happy with that. i do experience no initial braking feel sometimes and they had the brakelines bled.No improvement as they will check out again. The vw service tech guys are very helpful but it is beyond their control as some are spare parts related problems and also manufactured issues which i hope can be trouble shoot. So far at 2500km ,the oil level is still ok as i am paranoid checking out once a week.
The only pleasure i get is when i whipped the car to the hills and the driving sensation is well and truly compensated.

Found out yesterday that there are 2 Campaigns at the moment for 6R Polo.

One is for the Mechatronics unit, not sure/can't find out what the 2nd one is for. Non urgent campaigns, as ours will be attended to at the next service (7,500km away)

I phoned up VW as soon as i heard about the recall and it is for the 77TSI...Regarding the blow off valve. Phone any dealership and quote this code and they will ask you to book the car in to get it fixed. Takes half a day apparently...they are giving me a loan car and seemed to be nice enough on the phone....Mascot VW NSW are doing the work on 10th May.

If there is any reason why i shouldn't use Mascot please don't hesitate to say so!

    Code = 24V9

This is a good start, the car has a recirculation/diverter valve for a start, no blow-off valve. Coupled with the fact it is for the wastegate actuator which is the component that is failing.......
