I have just booked mine in for it to be looked at (along with a couple of other rattles).

Also, just finished 1000kms oil consumption test and it has used under 400ml so am pretty happy with that (I bought this car 6 weeks ago 2nd hand). Service guy said it has modified breather hose so it may have solved the oil issue.

In MANUAL mode get to 6th gear. From 1500 to 2000 rpm quickly go WOT (foot on floor but DO NOT hit the kick down) when you do this quickly look at the revs. If there is a non linear spike of any kind the K2 clutch has slipped and must be replaced.

Do the same procedure in 7th to check the K1 clutch.
    Something like this?

So, I have had my 2014 77TSI since Monday and this has been my experience thus far.

    1. Had an issue with the bluetooth touch adapter where when I hung up the phone the touch adapter would not disconnect from the call resulting in the head unit not switching back from phone to the music.
    2. Went to the dealership (35km from home) and got them to have a look at it. They told me that it must be faulty and that they would order me a new one. (was pleased at this stage)
    3. Drove back in to the dealership today to get the new touch adapter and the same problem occurred. The tech called the VW tech support for service and they came back and said there was something wrong with the touch adapter firmware that was causing issues between it and the new iOS7 bluetooth. The tech then apologised and said that there was nothing that he could do.

After taking over 4 hours off work, approx. km driving to and from the dealer, and about $20 in toll charges I was a little frustrated to say the least so I called the Customer Care line to see if I could get a little compensation as to what happened. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a customer service rep. All he did was argued with me and told me that I would just need to buy the iPhone 5 cradle to replace it which costs $230!

Was there something that I did wrong?
    Has anyone else experienced this?
Do I have a leg to stand on regarding any compensation?
    Help?!?

Are you hanging up by using the touch adaptor controls or by the phone only?

Both. VW called me on Friday saying that it was an issue with the touch adapter's firmware that wont allow it to speak with the iPhone's bluetooth firmware. Really frustrating because they wont cover the new cradle that they are recommending. I know this doesn't have to be supplied under warranty but at least they could do it in good faith seeings that I only got the car last week.

Very odd! I've been using the latest version of iOS7 with my Bluetooth Touch Adapter Voice since iOS7 was released and I haven't had a single issue. I usually use the hang-up button on the RCD510 when ending a call.

A real shame to hear about your service experience, too!

Yeah it has been a real pain unfortunately. I'm still waiting to hear back from them to see if they will cover the cost for me. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

    Just a quick update:

After sending an email to the vw assist team and expressing my frustration politely as well as informing them of the service experience I have on the phone with them I was called by a case manager today. Looks like they are going to fulfill my request and send me out the iPhone 5 cradle and cover the cost!

A fairly good result but the experience is reminiscent of the mentality of VW employees in this country. Things were better for a time after we got them to finally admit fault with the dsg recalls but they reverted to their old tricks pretty quickly.

Good chance that the wrong software was installed at pre-delivery which is common...

my biggest annoyances with my car at the moment is:
    * Bluetooth phone dongle not turning on (and now I can see others are having the same issue HAHA)
    * Rough idle when cold idling high (only does this sometimes?)
    * Rear wiper jet leaks water for days after using it - really annoying after just cleaning the car!

almost 7000kms done and no other issues
