Has anyone had issues with rear wheel camber?. Our LHS rear is wearing the tyre more one side than the other, approx 20 mm lay in at the top of the wheel. Is this common? We havent hit anything hard enough that would bend the rear axle/subframe. Noticed this while doing a wheel rotation, the wheel doesnt sit flat like the others once off the car. 2013 polo gti

The wheel off the car standing upright, the other 3 when rolling them to tap to wash them rolled along fairly upright, one didnt was at an obvious angle. That whell is now on the front. Once the car was back on the ground with wheels tensioned i put a sqaure on the concrete against the wheel that is now on the LHSR, found that there is about a 20 mm lay in at the top of the wheel.

So I got into the Polo about half an hour ago and opened the windows while I was reversing and thought I drove over a squeaky dog toy or something. Turns out something's shat itself in the window mechanism on the passenger-rear side.

Vw in darwin had my car for a whole day today and failed to do anything about my car showing the error code P0234 engine overboost condition. They said they wanted me to put back on the factory intake aswell as it may be whats causing the fault but i said that is ridiculous. Looks like ill just have to keep resetting it myself when it comes up once a month or so.

Have the APR tune done but thats been on for 20000km without a drama

Hi all, hope this is the right place to post this.

I own a MY13.5 Polo GTI with a panoramic sunroof, which has been making noise when the body/roof is flexing (ie when entering driveways etc..) Have taken it back twice, each time they 'greased' it however the noise returns each time.

Recently I have noticed that when left out in sun for a while (on 30deg plus days) the roof becomes very noisy even when driving on flat roads?? has anyone else had this happen?

I also have a rough Idle on cold start up, and the engine sounds sort of like there is a manifold leak for about 5-10 secs, idle is a little shaky and sometimes emits blackish smoke..

Final thing (just noticed this morning), there seems to be a slight 'jerk' or 'shudder' when shifting into 3rd gear via manual mode..

Car has only covered 14,000kms

if anyone has experienced this and can share some info on any of these that would be great

I have the same issue with creeky noise and the sun roof rattle... Haven't noticed the rough start...

Don't know if this constitutes as a problem but I didn't really want to open a new thread for this.

Since Wednesday I have noticed I have a film of clear oil (or oily substance - almost like silicon spray) on my exhaust tip. I saw it Wednesday and decided to clean it down and now checking today again it's back. No soot, just oily - and clear, so I'm not even sure that its engine oil - oil level from what I can see is unchanged so I'm not sure it's been burning it.

Engine has been running rich and 200rpm above normal due to the hot weather but I have seen this before and I consider it normal - but I have never seen the oil.

Now for those that don't know it's been a constant 40deg since Monday here in Melbourne - which could be the reason.

Anyone else notice this on their car recently, I would be interested to hear about it.
