Hi
After my fist service (2011 6R polo 77TSI DSG reflex silver) I was told there was a recall 24V9 to fit a 2mm spacer on the turbo actuator arm to stop it rattling. However some owners who have had the spacer fitted have complained of increased fuel use and lesser performance. Has any body had this done and has it affected the performance or fuel consumption. I am a little reluctant to go ahead as my car is running fine as it is (with no rattles). Thank you for any replies.

I have informed them to prepare my car for a Turbo, actuator replacement as today it has officially stopped spooling (just checked it and confirmed no pressure/boost).
FJ Steve your recall for the mechatronics is : 37G7
So current recalls for the TSI/TDI possibly GTI down the road.
24V9: Turbo space, wastegate actuator (if damage has been found the turbo/wastegate unit will be replaced).
37G7: Mechatronics recall, if any damage to clutch/box it will = a new Gearbox/ECU update.

HI guys
i found a knocking noise form the front end of my polo when my polo go over speed bumps (when both front wheel doing the same motion, going up and down at the same time). does anyone have the same problem, seems like there is quite a lot of suspension noise for a new car especially the front left corner.
cheers

Had to get the battery replaced today after 2 flat batteries when the car wasn't used for a 24 hour period.
I gather trying to get this claimed under warranty is going to be a VW "ha ha - no" exercise? December 2010 registered...(and used as a dealer demo for 5 months).
No, I didn't take the car to the dealer to get the battery replaced, after I got the same "no, it's not the battery" excuse previously on the Golf.

Batteries have warranty on them from the manufacturer, I would at least try it with the dealership.

There has to be something on draining your Battery flat leaving a car for even a few days should not cause a flat battery .

Ok so this is my list so far...
1. Leaking rear windscreen washer. Fixed
2. Bumper rubbing under tail light causing flaking. Respray
3. Right mirror not completely painted. Respray
4. Knocking in Dash under load. Suspected to be sound generator incorrectly secured and vibrating firewall. Secured. Not fixed
Inspected again for knocking in dash. Faulty exhaust Amplifier causing rattle on fire wall. Part disconnected. Waiting for new part.
It has been a good experience with the dealer because they are not rude about it and know there are issues.

There is no reason why it shouldn't be. It is a faulty part.
