I turned the car off and turned it back on and it was working perfectly fine!

Also today, I cannot recall why it happened but it was raining, turned the wipers on and the headlamps on. All of a sudden a Light Symbol turned on on the dash! I turned te lights on off and still was showing on dash with the warning lights... I turned on off car ad worked fine!

Anyone else experience? I will take car to VW first thing Friday (after Aus Day)
I think the car needs a flash reset mate, haven't heard of any electrical gremlins as of yet, touch wood....

    Missing tool?

Recently took delivery of my new GTI and was taking a look under the boot compartment at the spare wheel/tool kit etc. I noticed that there appears to be a long compartment slot with nothing in it (to the left of the screwdriver). Looks like it would fit some sort of bar or rod. Was wondering if something is missing or if this is normal?

    Can anyone please confirm? Cheers.

Volkswagen decided to cut costs by not placing a jack or something important for tyre changing?

    Tsk tsk tsk.

Yeah that's what I thought at first too. It turns out the jack is actually located underneath the spare wheel. So it seems that the empty space is normal? Can anyone else confirm this?

I suspect they've taken the mould from another car model where the jack is located here. Cost cutting i suppose.
