*Update* It will be touch / go with my car as the service center detected a fault from the DSG, upon physical inspection they found the Gearbox housing was cracked, unfortunately this will require a new transmission (warranty) altogether one is being sent from Botany bay so thank goodness there won't be delays (a part from transport to the service center).

So far they installed /removed the following:

    -New Water pump
    - New bushes (worn out)
-Rear boot lid fix (will find out soon if it is fixed)
    -Door replacement
    - Free rotation / balance
-DSG completely removed (cracked gear casing / worn out clutch pack (2010 variant) / recall campaign mecha).
    - Front bar with splitter being resprayed / curing.

Fingers crossed the new box / mecha / clutch will sort everything.

oh and oil consumption test is pending as they don't want to conduct it without the new box in.

My 6R Polo GTI chewed 900mL of oil in 1000kms and now have to take the car to VW as my dealer said VW has advised them to "replace the base engine as they have updated the bores and pistons."

So not only did I have the engine block replaced due to oil leaking into one of the pistons, updating the breather hose twice; now this at 52,000kms..

Good to hear that progress is being made! Out of interest, how come you are having a door replaced?

The left hand passenger door was not aligned with the front drivers...if you look at the B-pillar (gloss black trim outside the car) you'll see a tiny gap and it will be uniform front to back...but the left rear was sitting flush / rubbing, it was fully sealing and all...but they deemed it "defective"

Hmm, I had a similar issue until my passenger door was damaged in a car park and then the panel beater just replaced the door. The only issue is, I can't stand the new door. I swear the metal is half the thickness of the original door. It bends when push it and makes this awful 'clank' noise whenever you shut the door. Sounds like a Corolla! I asked the panel beater and apparently they get their doors from McCarrols. Hopefully yours is different! Let me know!

Sure I'll let you know...I'm chucking a massive spaz right now look at what they did to the bloody car! its not hard is it? repair the known issues, rotate tyres, insert new door trim...DON'T DAMAGE THE FKING CAR!!!

    Passenger side front wheel arch:

It's not bloody much to ask VW North Shore, Sydney? You receive a car 100% clean / perfect...and return it damaged!?

That is absolutely unacceptable!! Mate, I really feel for you. How the hell can they stuff up so many things...What was their response when you pointed it out?
Hope you'll get it sorted quick and maybe some form of compensation as well

I specifically asked them "please don't wash the car as it just had Opticoat put on the car and you use sponges which will scratch the coating creating spiderwebs / holograms"....Reply: "sure no problem"...what they meant was "sure no problem we'll fk her up for you pal".

Seeing as its a Friday they cannot do anything about it today and will inspect it Monday, as for compensation? I know VW North Shore they will simply get it repaired and say "bye on your way, sorry for pissing you off"...They'll get it done across the road for the cheapest price possible / lowest quality (that's if they agree to repair the damage they've done to my car).

I take it you probably discovered it once you got the car home? Guess it's good to be a camera-holic and take a million photos of your car so no one can argue
You are really not having any luck with this mob...
