My previous car didn't have remote window opening/closing so I must admit a stood there for about a minute just opening and closing the windows and sunroof using the remote.

I can't wait for the weekend when I can take her out for a decent drive.

The 3 month wait was definitely worth it
Wow 3 months ! I have been advised 9-12 from Mcgrath Volkswagen @ Liverpool

I corrected myself in another thread as it was just under 4 months. I can't believe how quickly I got her as I was advised end of year delivery for her (with a sunroof). I was told 6 month wait without sunroof.

jeremy629 ordered his in Feb and is expecting delivery in August. I think it was just pure luck that I got her so soon. The dealership was just as surprised as I was and they are still telling customers there's a 6 month wait for one without a sunroof.

Today is the first time I've been able to take the Polo out for a good drive. Decided to go to the Yarra Valley and although it was a bit chilly, the sun was out which meant I could open the sunroof

Then decided to take her into the CBD. Most of my driving will be to/from the CBD so I thought I'd take her in for a test run.

Just got back and took a few quick snaps of her on my mobile.

Great pics Apples. She's a little beauty! Red looks so shiny, really like those boavistas and the black panoramic does look great with the red. Excellent choice, definitely worth the wait So, how did the test run go today? Great day for a cruise, so nice to have some sunshine huh.

Nice one apples, I reckon yours could do with a 20mm drop with springs just to make it look that much sweeter!

Not really an option for me, I'm already coming up pretty close with mountable kerbs (ie our driveway), I'd hate to have to park in the street.

I always used to reverse into the driveway and drive out of it in my Astra. If I do that with the Polo, then the black guard protector under the engine bay scrapes very badly when my tyres are in the gutter. I now have to drive into the driveway and reverse out to prevent this scraping - and I hate reversing out driveways, or even parking spots (I always reverse in).

If she's lowered then I won't even be able to get her into the driveway.

Great pics apples, the sunroof looks great with the red

I was very concerned about the driveway issue as I reversed into the garage in my Astra and I thought the black guard was going to scrape if I did it in the GTI but i have about 1cm clearance at the lowest point :O

I am now driving the long way home from work.... but shhh the other half doesn't know that yet
