Smile New Polo GTI Owners: Chrome Pedals?

    Hiya,

Can anyone else who's purchased and received their new Polo GTI confirm whether or not they have a chrome accelerator pedal?

Looking at mine, you'll see only the brake is chromey:

    Cheers.

It may have come off during shipping. I've had mine slip off whilst parking the car (lucky it wasn't whilst driving..). It's just a rubber cover with a chrome "look".

    Look under your seat.

If it's not there, contact your dealer & make sure it was meant to come with one. If yes, then get them to order one for you/take the one off their demo model.

Problem solved - the car was meant to have a chromey accelerator... it just didn't when it was handed over.

Dealer fitted it today and there is harmony once again in the universe.

    Cheers!

are they well fastened to the existing pedal? you wouldn't much want it to come off while driving.

Once put on properly, they're pretty secure - mine hasn't come off since I replaced it that one time. Just don't get into the habit of tapping the side of your pedals to music whilst idling (to be safe).

how do u tap while idling? unless ur coasting downhill, which u should be covering the brake anyway, or if u let foot brake, then i find it awkward to tap the accelerator in an auto car.
weird habit if u have it

A stainless steel pedal set is available as an accessory for manual only non-GTI Polos. I am guessing these are different however probably fit on the same. I wouldn't mind getting them.
