40 minutes after picking up the car swapped in the 510 unit, really makes a big difference to the interior feel of the car. EVERYONE needs to do this. I have no MDI but I am using a 16 gb Sandisk Video HD pro SD card (30 mb/s) and I have none of the issues people mention with lag on initiation. Songs loaded in less than 4 seconds on first insertion, and is instant each time i start the card or switch from CD. in fact the CD player takes more time to recognise mp3 tracks.

Maybe people who have problems with SD cards, you can't simply go by Class 10 rating, as class 10 is the upper limit of that rating system, but you can get anywhere from 15 mb/s to 40 or 50 mb/s read times all rated at class 10. Make sure any SD cards are genuine too .

Was actually in wait and see mode in terms of mods at the moment, seeing as its still fairly new and not many options yet. Very tempted by APR ecu tune though, everyone seems very happy with results.

To be honest never been too much into mods, always have gotten the best performance i could've at the moment and left it. Then started saving for next upgrade car lol. My first brand new car though so should tinker a bit to make it truly mine. hehe

Is your rcd the newer ones with the plug at the back for reverse camera? I've got like a first generation one and it lags quite a bit with the sd card...

uhmmm its a "Premium 8" 2011 Unit.

There is an extra yellow plug on the back which I'm assuming is for the RVC.

But no, I just googled some SD card reviews, bought the fastest one at a realistic price (16gb off ebay for 55) and its instant.

What sort of card are you using JexL?
