Tim,
The internet is a tough place, if you can't handle it (and back up what you say with facts), don't comment.
As mentioned, its a great platform (Polo 6R) for modifications & we have dozens of happy customers running their modded Polo 6R's (some even members of this forum).
The planned "APR" turbo kit is going well, it has been track tested & dyno tested, and you can see from the results, its fast & reliable.
Power? over 200kw on 98 ron fuel with stock internals (transmission limited) - Thats already been achieved.
Costs? - completely depends on projected sales numbers - 3k to 3500 including software would be good.
Release date? Not sure, if anyone wants a pre production unit, we can supply now.
We can now remap the DSG, including the clutch hold capacity & the factory torque limiter & modified D & S programs. We also know what friction material is used in the clutch packs & also what margin VW have left in their calculations. We are working on a beefed up clutch pack, but that is by far the hardest part of the project (not that we have found the limit of the clutch pack yet).
There is a mirror project going on at APR's new UK Headquarters (shared with Volkswagen Racing), so the combined R&D data is being shared.
