Okay, so this may be silly, but I've searched the forum and didn't see anything that specifically answers my question:
1) Does an ECU Re-map void the new car warranty in Oz?
2) Has anyone re-mapped the ECU in a MY15 66TSI, manual?
Details: I have a long commute every day and am a little concerned about the power/driveability of the 66TSI that I purchased (delivery some time in May/June). It seemed okay during my 20 min test drive, but since I have 2 months time on my hands to think about my new car, I've discovered the dark art of remapping ECUs. Yes, I saved about $4K over the 81TSI, but an APR re-map an easily make up that power differential and "only" costs $1,250. A Custom Code remap from the UK is about 500 pounds and they claim you can re-map (or would that be a re-remap?) to original at home via the OBD-II port. I am not interested in any "Stage II" style hardware changes.
All opinions welcome (regarding remapping the ECU in a 66TSI, of course

This is what I was looking at from APR: APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.
Without actually receiving the car yet, I can't give them an engine number or ECU number; but this looks like the same engine. Additionally, I noticed on this forum that APR offered to remap a new Polo for free in November in order for their technicians to train local APR dealers on the process.
The application guide lists the old engine fitted previously the the Polo/Fabia/Yeti etc.
Pop the bonnet on any recent Polo and you'll see they now use the later EA211 motor.
