    Move Polo GTI Battery

Ok, i imagine im going to get a few people offside with this question but i need to ask anyway...

Is there any way of relocating the Polo GTI 6R/6C battery to the front of the car temporarily?

Long story short is didnt realise the reduction of boot space when ordering and wrongly assumed it would be the same as our current non GTI polo. As owners are aware however the battery takes up the spare wheel well on the GTI. Im hoping i could place it back up front and put the wheel back in the well giving me that extra 50 odd litres of capacity... and more importantly fitting our pram :/

It's just a case of physical space. I haven't looked at a pogo GTI but I assume they moved it back there as it wouldn't fit under the bonnet? Or is it purely for weight distribution?

Suggest you contact Marty at FHRX Studios.

You'll probably be up for a new (smaller) battery as well as other hardware. It won't be a cheap exercise.

Would it be easier to carry a bottle of tyre goop?

im making the assumption its weight distribution and not space limitation but of course that may be wrong. if its space then i dont think the exercise will be worthwhile.

What do you mean it takes up the spare wheel well? In my car the spare wheel fits over the battery under the floor in the boot.

I assume you mean your battery is in the wheel well, and then above it is a false floor with the spare wheel?
