This might be the stupidest question ever...

...but I have to ask! How do you attach numberplates to the Polo? I can't see any screw holes, do you need number plate holders attached with double sided tape?

You need to measure them and drill your own holes .

The dealer drilled holes in for me, but then I got custom plates. I got the plastic ones with no holes drilled, and used a combination of automotive double-sided tape and silicon to stick them on. One came off, but that was because there was stuff sticking out from where the holes were drilled that pushed the plates off. Cleaned that up, and then leaned on the plate for a good two minutes when I reattached it, and it was all good. Looks quite neat that way too

try using some smaller self tapping screws - no need for a predrilled hole just measure up and screw into the plastic. Alittle shabby but gets the job done.

That's what I was planning to do... previously I've had Commodores which have had pre-stamped screw locators in the bumper, and the self-tappers have been the easiest way.
