microphone not working 2016 polo gti......any ideas

hey guys just a quick one..... does anybody know why i cant speak via in car microphone..... i can hear who im talking to but cant talk back ..... any hel;p will be much appreciated

I have the exact same issue. Could not get it to work on my own. Haven't had a chance yet to take into to VW to be looked at. Hopefully an easy fix.

So i went to Volkswagen, they plugged in there machine and it was giving a fault code for the microphone so they need to replace the unit

When you say replace the unit, do you mean the whole head unit or just the microphones?

So the issue was the microphone cable was loose from the factory so the unit did not need changing
