Low oil usage..... Polo 77 tsi

I have noticed recently a few posts regarding high oil usage in the POLO GTI's......

I have a Polo 77 tsi and i checked the oil this morning, i drive it fairly hard everyday once warm...
Its been almost 8000kms since my last service and the car appears to not have used hardly any oil

Any other POLO (1.4, TSI, TDI) owners taken note of how much oil they have used recently?

My car has a shade under 1000km on it with 50/50 spirited/boring driving. No visible signs of oil being consumed on the stick so far.

Ps. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not a VW Polo.

Had my service last week, but before then it was pretty much the same this was with spirited driving and some traffic jams.

The oil consumption issue is GTI specific, as noted in the thread title and doesn't at this point, apply to non GTI polos.

Mine isn't an oil guzzler though, except for over 180....

    Oil Usage

    Hi all,

I have a Golf 90TSI (essentially the same as the 77TSI).

Mine has done 22000km and never used a drop of oil before the first service or since.

You know, all of you boasting about your wise decision to get a sensible car... well, it's starting to get annoying!

And it's making me feel bad.

Gee, this thread has gone quiet!

I was just kidding all! Feel free to gloat all you want! It's actually nice to hear positive stories.

    I'm just jealous, that's all!

Julia Gillards carbon tax won't be all that friendly on the GTI's high oil consumption

My Polo uses heaps of oil, it burns about 6 litres per 100 Km.
