Looking at buying a 2010 66TDI Diesel

We just bought a 66TDI DSG6 2011 Polo recently. Low kms,but a little rough in the body and it performs very well as my wife's daily car.

Of the few others we test drove,I would recommend that you look through the service history closely,and make sure it's not excessively noisy (diesel knock & injector noise),and that the DSG is relatively smooth. We knocked back one car at a dealership because it was seriously rattly,quite laggy and didn't shift well in any mode.

I agree with the other comments re DPF maintennance. Longer trips regularly are a must. Unless you plan to buy a darkside downpipe and tune it...

DSG6 is oil cooled and is in the golf's and above.

DSG7 is the "sealed for life" problem gearbox.
