    Keyfob Flat

    Hi All,

I took delivery of a MY15 Polo late last year and the other day I went to open the car with the keyfob and it was flat. I've since taken it for a drive with the flat keyfob in and it still remains flat (As I understand the car recharges it? (Or am I making that up?). Is this something I should expect VW to fix or should I get the wallet ready?

Should last longer than that. Ours is 3 years old and fine.

    Get fixed under warranty.

A Battery will cost less then the time it will take to go to the dealers to moan about it. Sometimes they can get jammed against something in your pocket and run the battery down A bit unlikely though.

Dont think the car charges it. Even more unlikely

The key won't charge while driving, the only manufacture that comes to mind that does this is BMW.

As Hillbilly said it's not worth the hassle doing to the dealer.

It's a CR2032 battery, cheap and easy to replace yourself, as people have said you'd spend more on the fuel driving to the dealer.

Skip to 2:40 or so to see how to replace the battery in your fob:
