    Jetta Hybrid

World premiere of the new Jetta Hybrid in Detroit | VWWatercooled Australia

The interesting part is the drivetrain

111kw/250Nm (1400-3500rpm!) turbo only 1.4L mated to a 7 speed DSG. Additional 20Kw electric motor.

That gives you a power output equivalent to a Polo GTI.... hmmmmm I wonder if VW could make a hybrid Polo GTI?

VW is putting a hybrid Polo Bluemotion on the market in the future so who knows Might get way too heavy on the back end though so the car will have even less grip at takeoff

there is an electric-only E-mode that will propel the new Jetta for up to 1.2 miles
    WooHoo!!!!
Why they don't do this with the diesel version is beyond me

As for the Polo Bluemotion hybrid, it probably won't have enough power for the weight at the rear to be a problem (and it will help balance the car's handling)
