I know you and Gav probably may have received a good experience at Bayford, but mine was absolutely atrocious, my experience is described on an earlier thread, it was so bad that I actually cancelled my Polo GTI order and made a complaint about the dealership, the order eventually taken up by Gav, enough said

Just maybe, certain salespeople and managers had a huge rocket up their arse which improved customer service. Although I would never go back to that dealership for anything in the future, I wish you both well

Just thought I would put some balance in the discussion.

Yes, very much so but not enough can be said about GTI Joe's experience, it really was a very very poor mistake and I believe that the balance from that must be brought about.

That being said, Barloworld in Glen Waverley wasn't very good to me either in the early days of VW ownership so there was no way I was going there to buy the Polo! If everyone listed a bad experience that they had with a dealership, let alone and retailer, I think we would crash the whole site!

yeh I heard about gti Joe and the troubles. I recon said rocket was directed at said salesperson. Glad yours was on the positive side. I'll be posting here either way but obviously expecting a positive experience.

...and indeed it was positive. Picked up at the airport in their polo gti, dns510 installed, 100% presented. Coffee for me, sweat for my little un, an hour later off we drove. Nice. V.Nice. Dealer knocked another fifty off the tint install. Off we set. Perfect. He phoned next day as a follow up. Tops.

    Thanks GTI Joe and WF
As fellow Polo-philes can you give this newbie advice...
Are the headlights supposed to be on by default - daylight time? Mine are not but I thought the new polo was supposed to have running lights on 24/7.

All four of my windows are one shot up or down, but the manual says only the driver is auto ?

    Still smug

As far as I know, the daytime running lights (DRLs) reference was basically for the Xenon light pack, with the LEDs being the DRLs. I have not read anywhere that Polos other than the GTIs with Xenons have headlights coming on during the day. Not sure what you mean with reference the windows? The power windows that I have had previously, basically worked the same way, one shot up or down OR manually stopping it half way or whatever height you wish. Hope this helps and makes sense

Yeah, when driving the front Parkers are always on, new feature which I don't mind. If you have the gti with Xenons like joe an I will eventually have, they will be led DRLs
