ah the joys of living in Sydney

NRMA $1146 for 5dr GTI DSG CSG
    32yo male
    included windscreen and hirecar options

that is seriously cheaper (by at least $700) than anyone else (who would even bother to insure me)

EDIT: this is actually for a Golf, not a Polo - i did a thread search for "insurance" and this was the first hit. Only after i posted did i realise its in the Polo section - such a noobish mistake apologies

i found nrma to be the cheapest for me. the quote was for $540 comprehensive for a 28 yr old male in low risk suburb. i couldn't believe it! i thought that there was a catch but then i redid the quote with the finance guy when i purchased the car and turned out with the same amount.

    happy days indeed

Oh damn, I hope you were biting down hard when they gave you that rodger-ing!! Allianz wouldn't insure me because the car wasn't in a locked garage at night, AAMI, including wiindscreen protection, 26yr male, $750.

When i redid my quote with nrma the premium went up to $592. Still so much cheaper than the rest...well for me anyway.

except NRMA will not insure in Victoria and their sister company being RACV, well their cost is in the first post of their thread so AAMI were actually chaeper.

    hahaha i love the OP....

"you have different things in your car, with different driving styles and driving habits, and different length driving trips... shouldnt you be with an insurer who gets that? call youi now to save minus one thousand eight hundred dollars"

"do they know that i work from home? do they know that i take public transport? do they know how much my life has changed? i just won the fcking lotto so i'm gonna go with an insurer who 'gets' me and pay three times every other company on a company whose slogan is 'insurance that could save you lots'".

atleast the folks who flush money down the shtter by going with them, feel a sense of trendy, contemporary metropolitanism thanks to their cool funky tv ad campaign.
