I wish my Caddy had a leaf catcher like that. I have to spend wuite a bit of time with a vacuum cleaner and a garden hose extension to suck the mongrels out of the spaces there.
From the picture, it looks like it is part of the plastic moulding.
Hey does anyone know how to remove the leaf catcher below?

looks the same as the golf's,
just take the windscreen wipers off completely, then start prying up from one side of windscreen across to the other side, will be hard to start of but gets easier the further you pull it off.
In order;
1. Use a suitable small pocket screwdriver to pop up the caps over the nuts for the wiper arms - there are small cutout dents where the best position is to pop them out.
2. Remove the nuts on both arms and wiggle the arms gently back and forth in an up and down motion to help pop them off.
3. Once both wiper arms are free, the tray is held in two ways; firstly, it's held in at the bottom of the windscreen in a clip-in notch all the way along and secondly it's held in by the rubber stripping. Carefully remove the foam holders either side of the tray and then you can remove the large strip of rubber which frees up the front of the tray.
4. Finally, gently (starting from the left) unclip the tray carefully out of the channel it's sitting in on the bottom of the window glass. As you gently lift it up and it goes along, it may feel quite firm and tight. Be gentle but persistent, it will pop out. Don
t be startled if it suddenly all pops out of the channel as it's done that a few times in my experience.
Tada. You now have the cover free and can do whatever you need to in the bay area. I personally recommend pissing off that stupid Sound Actuator.
if you just want to get in underneath to remove dirt or get to the strut tops, just take the rubber seal off & you can get in without removing wiper arms.
