How do I remove front seats

    Hi all.
I have just purchased a 6R. I would like to pull the front seats out to give the floor and interior a full detail.
What precautions do I need to take removing the seats? Do they have any sort of pre-tensionors or just the seat belt switch?
I have the spline / triple square/ zxn drivers.
Just not sure about any of the safety features in the Polo.

    Thanks

Not sure about our Polos but modern cars sometimes use specialty single-use fasteners for the seats. I couldn't recommend you do this if you can avoid it.

I removed the front seats from a 2011 Golf GTI for exactly the same reasons as you when i first bought it (2nd hand in 2014). Just disconnect the battery, and then after you have undone the 4x bolts holding each seat in place, just unplug the few connectors under the base of the seat (airbag, seatbelt sensor, etc) and pull the seats out. If you just want to vacuum under the seats you may not need to physically remove them - simply leaning them back once unbolted may suffice.

No special plugs or anything - easy done.

4 triple square bolts. They are reusable. Tilt seat back. Undo airbag and seat belt sensor wires.

I didn't even bother disconnecting battery

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
