HELP, i think I've shorted something

OK, i changed my parkers to LED w5w and it threw up an error so i went back to halogen and error went however about 5 minutes later when i opened the boot the interior lights, the parkers and the boot light all died????
And now there is this constant ticking noise under the steering wheel.

What have i done? fuse blown

VW just recently fixed my boot light saying it had an open circuit

Flat battery? Try it again in a few hours, I flattened mine when fiddling with my rns510 and amp for too long. Battery recovered by the time RACQ got there

Same thing happened to me once and ended up having to buy fuses. It is a pain because depending on what fuse you blew you might have other issues, I had my brakes fail on me and was driving around endlessly trying to find micro 5W fuses.

Grab a few just incase.... it's what i did.

Ooh OK I thought the ticking sound was the sound you get when the batt is flat. Check the fuses under the steering wheel. I think the ticking might be from a relay (also under the wheel) trying to turn the lights on.

Check the fuse box and look for fuse number 15 (should be blue) check the middle filament, if the line is not connecting thus creating a circuit you'll need to go to one of the big petrol stations that stock fuses...I think some independents stock them...or wait til tomorrow and call up CMN motors at Ryde (Buffalo Road) speak to Mario and tell him Christian with the Red Polo sent you to him.

He'll take good care of your car mate (fuses etc).

Yeah the ticking sound is something to do with the fuse blown. The interior lights fuse is top row, 5th from the right. The small size.

Check that isn't blown and if it is, replace it.

I've blown both exterior and interior fuses before. Once I get home I can take photos for you if you haven't found it yet.
