Load of crap. It took them 4-5 days to get my Mechatronics AND DSG replacement units all the way from Germany and then was a one day turnaround on the servicing. He'll be fine.
They also won't give you a GTI Loan car. I've never known a Dealer to give a Premium loaner car unless they've really done you wrong. You'll either get a low end Polo, Golf, or Jetta. I've known people to get Jetta TDI's, Polo TDI's, and Golf 90TSI's so far.

Sorry to ask, but my 2011 Passat V6 constantly rolls back on slight hills with Autohold on, sometimes I get nervous that I'm going to hit the car behind.
Are you saying there is a problem with the DSG mechatronics?
No this has to do with the hill assist. Nothing mechatronics or gearbox related.
Does it only do it on some hills, like on a really steep hill it won't roll back but a hardly steep one it will roll back. Sometimes the sensor doesn't think it's that steep and it won't hold the brakes for you.
Remeber the DSG is a manual gearbox and like all manuals will slightly roll back until the clutch picks up the slack.
Actually yours been a V6 Passat doesn't that have the standard torque converter gearbox or is it actually a DSG? 6 or 7 speed? The 7 speed DSG tends to roll back slightly more then the 6 due to the dry clutches.

This is an issue with the way the DSG works.
When you are stationary and you foot is on the brake, both clutches are disengaged. With Autohold, the brakes hold for up to 3 minutes with your foot off the brake. When you apply accelerator, the brakes are released, however the first gear clutch releases around 1/4 second later. This is why you roll back a little.
Now the Passat has an electric parking brake, and I am not sure if you can use it like this. With my Caddy having a conventional hand brake, I will release the handbrake roughly 1/4 second after applying some accelerator. Now you might be able to do with with the electric parking brake where you release it roughly 1/4 second after applying some accelerator.
Now a caution. DO NOT have the transmission in D, or R, or M, or S with your foot off the brake and the parking brake applied while waiting at lights or an intersection. Using the parking brake to do a hill start, you only have the above condition for 1/4 second is OK. When you have the transmission in any drive (forward or reverse) and your foot off the brake, then DSG will try and engage 1st gear (or reverse) to drive away.
