Anyone with a 6r MANUAL 6spd polo can you help me out I need to take photos of a different polos gearbox mounts, I am in a huge dispute with Volkswagen Sutherland cause they believe the engine mount was hit/ jacked up, causing the gearbox to crack and leak oil, the engine mount has a slight warp in it and I want to know if that warp/wave is on that engine mount out of the factory, please help there saying I'm up for $7500, im not a happy Chappy :/

Give up on them as they are a hopeless pack of crunts.
Go to VW at Rockdale - much smarter techs & they don't try & rip you a new one with every bill.
They must have a thing about engine mounts because they told my mate they'd deny warranty because he'd replaced his engine mounts - on a 25000km vehicle.
Incompetent

I never changed my mounts thank flip, but I can't even drive the car let alone get it to Rockdale
Slightly off topic. If it doesn't go your way, I have a complete 1.4 twincharge engine/gearbox & bits with 3200km for sale if you wanted to upgrade. You could do a whole conversion for a lot less than $7.5K .
OCTAVIA 3 PARTS FOR SALE:
Brushed stainless rear bumper & cargo protector, Octavia III Combi models
If you can't get it towed then I'd suggest you get VW Customer Service involved as quickly as possible.
I assume you've taken a heap of photos of your own vehicle?
Don't they have a manual on the lot or the holding yard you can compare with?
Seriously, my mate had his 77tsi Polo in at Mcgraths 4 times in 12 months because the engine was throwing a CEL and going into limp mode. "No Fault Found" each time. He took it to Rockdale & they picked a coil pack straight away - replaced & problem solved.
PS: They'll probably damage the body while they've got it. Suggest you do a walk around with the service advisor & note any existing issues so that they'll repair the ones they do.

Thanks brad, heaps handy, also there next point was because I have coil overs this could have also helped the situation unfold, bunch of muppets... Coilovers throw warranty out the window but my argument is what do coilovers have to do with anything, suspension is not covered under warranty anywhoo so I'm now dealing with vw themselves to work this out I beleive and COMMON sense prevails its a manufacturer defect.
The coilovers would only affect the warranty on the items affected by the coilovers - eg: strut mounts & any unsprung suspension components.
This is one item you really need to push on VWA - The employees at McGraths have no idea (ie: they aren't trained or competant) what the scope of the warranty is and how minor changes or modifications to the vehicles affect the warranty. They also have no idea what their responsibilities are regarding statutory warranty.
It's interesting you say that about the coilovers. My mate had Koni Yellow dampers fitted and everything that was wrong with the car the dealership blamed on the Konis. At one point they were insisting he swap them back to OEM before they would look at the car.
Unfortunately my stupid, effing Sister still goes there with her EOS & wonders why every service costs her a small fortune.
